Do you offer free estimates? Is there a minimum job size?

Yes, we offer free estimates, and there is no minimum job size.

How long will my project take?

Timing depends on material shipping and the time of year, so every schedule is different. If you have a target date, tell us when you call/text.

Who handles permits for tall poles?

The customer handles permitting and approvals. We provide the information required to obtain the permit.

Do I need a design before I call/text?

No. We help you design and install a system tailored to your facility, offering professional guidance on placement, height and materials. It helps to know what you want to protect, such as neighbors, roads, parking lots or fairways, and where balls are going.

Golf netting and poles

How tall can golf netting be?

Our installations range from 10′ to 150′ high. Steel poles run from 10′ to 100′ and can be extended up to 150′ depending on the base engineering. Wood poles run from 10′ to 85′.

Should I choose wood or steel poles?

We install both, and the right choice depends on your site, the height you need and your budget. Our wood poles are DCOI or CCA pressure-treated. Steel poles come in different diameters depending on project height and have a rust-resistant coating. Rock drilling services are available for difficult soil conditions with ledge and rock.

Steel and wood poles

Can you add height to the netting I already have?

Yes. Forenet can expand or upgrade your existing netting system with wood or steel pole extensions. Extensions can range from only a few feet to well over 30 feet, depending on the engineering of your existing poles and bases. Proper engineering may be required for extensions.

What are retractable netting systems?

We install two kinds. With the retractable curtain system, panels slide like a curtain to the pole on either side, so you can close the netting at the end of the season and protect it through winter. Our proprietary winch and pulley system lets you raise and lower the netting from the ground, without lifts or ladders, at the start or end of the season or ahead of an approaching storm.

What are protective baseboards?

Baseboards are pressure-treated boards cleated together along the bottom of the netting. They protect and reinforce the base of the panels and help resist damage from weed whackers, lawn mowers, ball pickers and animals.

Do you build netting enclosures?

Yes. Netting enclosures are used for golf practice areas, baseball practice and even drone flight training. We help you design and build a customized enclosure for outdoor or indoor use that you can easily set up, retract or store whenever you need.

Baseball, sports and batting cages

Why use netting instead of chain link for a backstop?

Netting can be installed much higher than a chain link fence, it is UV protected, and its thinner mesh gives spectators better visibility. Chain link is limited in height and susceptible to rust.

Do you build batting cages?

Yes. We build indoor cages that are retractable or stationary, and outdoor cages for every level of practice. A retractable cage can be lowered automatically in a few minutes and stored out of the way on the ceiling. A stationary (fixed shell) cage is permanent, attached to walls and surrounding structures with steel cables. Each installation depends on the building's size, ceiling structure and any obstructions, so we like to evaluate the space in person.

Materials, hardware and warranty

What is the netting made of?

We use polyester, high-tenacity polypropylene and Dyneema® netting in a knotted or knotless diamond mesh. Panels are custom-sized to your height and length, finished with a hand-sewn, UV-protected solid rope border, and continuously sewn around a ½″ head rope.

Netting and hardware

Does the netting come with a warranty?

All netting carries a manufacturer's 5-year pro-rated warranty.

What hardware do you use?

We always use high-strength steel and/or galvanized hardware. Pole line hardware meets or exceeds ANSI standards, galvanized carabiners attach the netting panels and wind lines to framing and tension wires, and ground anchors stabilize the beginning and end of each section and are added where needed to reduce tension.

Repairs and litter control

Can you repair damaged netting and poles?

Yes. Weather, vandalism, equipment, animals and age can all damage a netting system. We repair or replace damaged netting panels, poles and hardware to keep your facility protected and reduce downtime.

How often should my netting be inspected?

We encourage customers to contact us regularly for inspections. Regular inspections help catch wear and damage early, while repairs are still manageable.

Do you install litter control netting at landfills?

Yes. Most litter control barriers range from 18′ to 40′ high and are generally confined to the downwind areas of a landfill. We provide estimates for varying or consistent heights and lengths, and we can provide netting that relocates as dumping areas change. Wind speed, surrounding property, maximum trash loads and soil conditions all factor into planning the barrier.
