Forenet was founded in 1983 by Vincent Monteforte and is still a family-run business, now led by his son James.
Family-run, owner-operated and built on referrals.
Forenet Inc. installs and repairs barrier netting systems and poles. Founded in 1983 by Vince Monteforte in West Kingston, Rhode Island, it is now owned and run by his son, James Monteforte, President & Owner.
Vince retired in 2024, and James took over as president and owner. He has worked alongside his father and brothers for years, and he is continuing his father’s legacy: the same high level of service, with fresh ideas and a more personal touch on every project.
The values that built Forenet haven’t changed. Vince is known for being a sincere, family-oriented person, and he brought those values into every part of the business. Establishing a personal rapport with each client, and viewing every location in person, plays a key role in Forenet’s success.
This is a specialized field serving a specific clientele, so the family works hard to protect the Forenet reputation. Our client base keeps growing through referrals from golf superintendents, managers, golf pros and previous clients.

What started with one man and one specialty has grown into a family trade that spans three generations.
- Late 1970s
Vince works alongside his father, Michael Monteforte, designing and installing driving ranges around the country for American Golf.
- 1983
Vince starts his own company, Forenet, to specialize in one corner of the golf industry: barrier netting systems.
- Four decades
Vince’s three sons, Vinny Jr, James and Patrick, join the business. Together the family designs and installs long-standing structures and netting systems at golf courses, ranges and sports complexes across the United States.
- 2024
Vince retires. His son James Monteforte takes over as president and owner, committed to the same high level of service, with fresh ideas and a more personal touch.
- Today
Three generations of experience (and eventually a 4th!) go into every netting project we take on.
